ARCH-P-04: Why the 145s Classroom Method Fails Under the 90s Clock

Standard Classroom Method (Too Slow)~145s (Blows 90s Clock)
During the deceleration interval from t=40 st = 40\text{ s} to t=60 st = 60\text{ s} (Δt=20 s\Delta t = 20\text{ s}), the acceleration is a=0−2020=−1 m s−2a = \frac{0 - 20}{20} = -1\text{ m s}^{-2}. Using s=ut+12at2s = ut + \frac{1}{2}at^2 gives s=200 ms = 200\text{ m} (~115s).
The Fast ShortcutTarget: 40s (Saves 105s)
Line 1 (Isolate Right Triangle): Deceleration occurs only from t=40 st = 40\text{ s} to 60 s60\text{ s} (Δt=20 s\Delta t = 20\text{ s}).
Line 2 (Triangle Area): s=12×20×20=200 ms = \frac{1}{2} \times 20 \times 20 = 200\text{ m} (25s).
Where Students Lose Time: In 12 past UAT-UK questions (5.15% of Physics), candidates lose 105s by omitting the factor of 1/2 in s = (1/2)(u+v)t or 2 in v² = u² + 2as. Instead, apply P3 with Maths 1 skill M4.14.
